PRAISE REPORTS
PRAISE God for a meeting scheduled for Oct
14 to plan for a new Good News Club at Olivenhain Pioneer School
in Encinitas (photo above). CEF and a group of mothers from the
school who are interested in volunteering will be getting
together to pray, discuss, and organize.
PRAISE the Lord for meeting the need! New volunteers are
joining Good News Club teams at Torrey Hills, North Broadway,
Miller, and Farr schools!
PRAISE God for answered prayer! Last week we asked for
prayer for a third volunteer to complete the team for the new GNC
at Redwood Terrace retirement community. Team leader Christina
Dillane came across the name of an acquaintance in her church
directory while looking for another name, and felt the Lord would
have her call her about the need at Redwood Terrace. The lady had
already heard about it, had been praying about it, and
knew God wanted her to help. And because she served as a
first-time CEF volunteer this summer at the SD County fair, her
background check is already complete and she's all ready to join
the GNC team. Christina emails, "At this point I was
praising God with joy tears. It's so wonderful how God works when
we ask Him, trust Him and wait on Him to do it. So, praise Him
with me. Thank you for praying with us on this!" (Pray the
club can start as hoped for on Oct 21)
PRAISE the Lord that a Christian father from the
El Camino Creek GNC, whose wife is on the team, was able to meet
with the principal and district superintendent to discuss
some of the issues surrounding complaints against the club by a
small group of parents at the school who are opposed
to it. He was able to represent the interests of the
club and the kids in the spirit of Christ and the meeting ended
on a positive note with the main issue resolved.
PRAYER NEEDS
PRAY as our brand new GNC starts on Monday at Palmquist
School in Oceanside. Please ask the Lord to bring lots of boys
and girls. Pray for the team as they teach and minister to the
kids in the Lord's name. Pray that each child who attends will
hear God speaking through His Word. Pray that unbelievers will
understand and receive the Good News and that Christian kids will
take something away that will help them to love and follow Jesus

PRAY for an Oceanside church whose pastor had
responded to our informational email about GNCs. He is pursuing
the idea of his church getting involved. Pray as he faces the
challenge of recruiting a team for Laurel School (photo above)
from his congregation, most of whom work and are unavailable
after school. Pray as he plans to show our GNC DVD in their
service, that God would make the need clear, and that willing
servants will answer the call!
PRAY for the outreach ministry fair that will be
held Oct 11-12 at a church in Escondido. CEF will have an
after-school GNC booth. Please pray that lots of
people will visit the booth and learn about the great
opportunity we have to reach our public school kids for
the Lord. Pray that many who stop by will want to get
involved through prayer or by volunteering on a team.
PRAY
for a volunteer on our team from the GNC that started
last season at Richland School in San Marcos as
she tries to recruit new members. A leader and helpers are
needed to make it possible for the club to continue this school
year. Pray that the Lord would bring across her
path committed believers who would like to get
involved.
