PRAISE REPORTS
PRAISE the Lord for blessings which have been coming thick and fast at our big Rose School Good News Club in Escondido! The Lord has graciously added two new volunteers to the team, including our vivacious song leader Antoinette Smiley, who brought her daughter Kayleen on Thursday (photo above). Before club one boy spoke up, "I wish we had Good News Club every day!" And after the club a father came up to say how much he appreciates what GNC has meant to his daughter who comes home enthused about what she's been learning. He wants to come and observe the club to see how it's done and hopefully get his church involved. We also had two visitors from the children's ministry of a big Vista church which is interested in sponsoring GNCs at one or more local schools. On Thursday the kids were really excited about getting their Wonder Devotional Books and Bibles-on-CD at the end of the club.

the CEF Day of Prayer held on Saturday in Orange (photo above).
Directors, committee members, and volunteers from the 30 southern
California chapters gathered for an extended time of praise to
the Lord in song and Scripture and to petition Him for the needs
of our local ministries as well as those of the nation and the
world, led by State Director Bill Gerhardt and his wife Debi

PRAISE the Lord
for answered prayer! A new volunteer is joining the team of our
GNC-in-progress for Richland School in San Marcos.
PRAYER NEEDS
PRAY that the Lord would speak to our GNC kids as our clubs begin teaching our second series of lessons -- "Elisha: Prophet of the Faithful God." For Christian kids the applications from God's Word will be about showing respect to those in authority and about trusting God -- to provide even in hard times, to bring good out of bad situations, and to protect His children. These are things kids need to know, believe, and act upon! Unbelievers will learn that God has provided the only way there is to be cleansed from sin and that salvation comes by believing the Good News of Jesus. Pray that even in crowded and sometimes distracting environments the still small voice of God's Spirit will reach the hearts and minds of boys and girls, that they will respond in faith and obedience, and that lives will be changed.
PRAY for the schools in the district where you live. Please go to our North County map -- http://cefkids.com/schools0809 and click on the NAME of the district where you live. Please take time to mention each school by name before the Lord. Those in GREEN have a Good News Club -- please pray for its needs. Those in RED still need a GNC -- please pray that the Lord would raise one up! Pray for the kids, the parents, the staff, and the neighborhoods around the schools. Pray that a Good News Club at each school would be used by God to spread His love and truth throughout North County.
