REPORTS
..
PRAISE the
Lord for a visit by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Heganauer, CEF
missionaries to Belgium, at the last meeting of the year of our
Los Pen School Good News Club in RP (photos above). Peter and his
wife have been serving for over 20 years in Europe! He taught the
kids at club the memory verse and the Bible lesson, which started
out with a 5-question quiz about the birth of Jesus. The
questions were tricky, because the kids didn't get one right! But
it aroused their curiosity to know the answers, and
Peter taught the wonderful truths from the Scriptures
about how and why Jesus came into our world. Our club team
leaders email that regarding the Heganauers' ministry
"their prayer request was for more workers. Sounds like
North County!" (Please pray that the Lord would answer
this prayer for both them and us!)
PRAISE
the Lord for an invitation to speak to an adult Sunday school
class and during the Sunday service at First Baptist Church of
Oceanside on January 11 during their mini missions conference.
We'll be giving the congregation of this church, which faithfully
supports the work of CEF in North County, an update on
what the Lord has been doing and a glimpse of our vision for the
future.
PRAISE
God that in November we saw 101 new enrollments in our
existing Good News Clubs and 61 professions of faith in Christ!
PRAISE
the Lord that the home-schooling family which made up the team at
our Reynolds School Good News Club in Oceanside last season has
emailed to say that they would like to start up the club again as
soon as possible after the new year.
PRAISE
God for a man and a woman who called this past
week, responding to a notice in a church bulletin about the
need for GNC volunteers, who said they are interested in helping.
PRAYER
NEEDS
PRAY that while our school GNCs are on
break until January 5 the Lord would renew and refresh our
volunteers. Pray that they would get a good rest and be
strengthened to return to ministry in January.
PRAY for
our eight teams working on getting flyers ready for clubs
starting in January. Some are seeking donors or churches willing
to cover the cost of photocopying the approximately 800 copies
needed at each school. Many of the clubs have to have the flyers
"bundled" and ready to be delivered to the schools as
soon as classes resume in January so there will be enough
time for them to go out to the parents before the clubs
start. Please pray for God's provision and that all goes
smoothly!
PRAY that
Good News Club kids stay close to the Lord while they're on
break. Please ask the Lord to give them a hunger and thirst to
know Him better and to remind them to spend some time each day in
prayer and Bible-reading. Pray that the kids who have
Wonder Devotional Books will be faithful to use them each day to
help them study and understand and follow God's Word.

equipping sessions for Good News Club volunteers (and anyone else
who'd like to come!) are right around the corner.
We'll be covering our
third lesson series, Esther, and getting ready to bring valuable
truths from this book to the kids of North County.
