PRAISE REPORTS

PRAISE the Lord for all our parent volunteers! More and more moms and dads at schools where we have clubs have been joining the teams. Christopher Ybarra, whose son and daughter attend Rock Springs School in Escondido, came on board and has started teaching the Scripture memory verse each week. Christopher first got involved with CEF last summer when he helped at a 5-Day Club at a park in Oceanside. The ladies of the Rock Springs team (photo below) -- none of them with kids at the school -- are Susie Covert, Charlene Poore-Jones, Marilyn Burkley, Judy Erickson, and Dolly Pitcher.

PRAISE God for a report of His provision sent by team leader Maud Middleton of the Lincoln School GNC in Escondido: "We had some new volunteers -- praise the Lord for answering our prayers. We might be able to split the group with a few more serious helpers joining us. Then we can use the additional room available to us -- the crowd is still too large for one room. Pray for God's leading and wisdom. We had mothers come in quietly and listen to the message of God's love for them as well -- praise the Lord!"

PRAISE the Lord for our first meeting of the new Good News Club at Willow Grove School
in the Poway district on Tuesday (photo below). Team leader Dee Abell (shown above leading a song) reports: "We had 31 kids present, about 10 parents, 7 professions of faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, a mom helper, and a teen who wants to volunteer for community service. Praise God and thanks so much for our hourly prayer partners. God's Spirit was definitely in control....I can hardly wait to see what happens next week!"

PRAISE God for an encouraging message about our new middle school club from GNC volunteer Paulette Oberle:
"A friend had asked some time ago if there was a GNC for her niece at Bear Valley School. I kept her up to date with what was going on. Last night I forwarded the link for the Bear Valley permission slip to her and she wrote back that she printed off several and that her niece knew at least 4 kids at the school who would be interested. May the Lord's will continue to be accomplished in the hearts of those attending North County schools." The Bear Valley club will be starting March 17. Please email these links to anyone you know who has kids attending the school!:

PRAISE
the Lord
for our Good News Club informational meeting at North Coast Church on Sunday afternoon, March 8, in Vista (photo above). There was interest in seeing GNCs at several local public schools and lots of good questions from those who came to find out all about the ministry. Some had never before known of the open door to the Gospel in the schools. Please pray that the seeds of interest will grow by God's grace into new clubs at schools that are waiting!

PRAYER NEEDS

photo - Laurel School, Oside

PRAY for our GNC-in-progress at Laurel School in Oceanside, and praise God for the progress! Pastor Michael Henderson of Shiloh Church, who will be leading the club, has gathered a team of volunteers. The application was submitted this week for a start date of March 31. Please pray that the principal would approve the club and assign a spacious room. Pray for the Lord's strength and wisdom for this new team as they work together to plan and organize and prepare to minister to the children. Pray that everyone's schedule could be worked out for an orientation meeting.

PRAY for the needs of a planned Good News Club at Stone Ranch School in 4S Ranch (photo above). Earlier in the season progress on the club came to a halt. But now Dee Abell, who leads the club at Willow Grove School, has gathered volunteers from her own church, Cloudbreak, which meets right at Stone Ranch each Sunday.
This week the application was submitted and approval has already been emailed back from the district! Please be in prayer for the Lord's guidance about setting the start date. And pray that the Lord would complete the team and strengthen and lead them as they get ready.

In the fellowship of our Lord,
Robert Burkley

..."Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them.   --Mark 10:14-16
