PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE the Lord for our newest Good News Club team! They're ready to reach the kids at Laurel School in Oceanside. Twilla Bellville, La Keisha Fairbee (who has volunteered at CEF's County Fair ministry), Pastor Mike Henderson, and Terri McGee met for an orientation and training session this past Monday and will be visiting the McAuliffe School GNC on Thursday as they prepare to start their club March 31. The Lord has brought this team together over a period of months since Pastor Henderson first learned of the opportunity God has given His people to bring the Good News to children in the schools. Please be in prayer for the Lord's strength and guidance as they plan for their first day and as the invitations go out this week to all the kids and families at Laurel.

PRAISE God for a homeschool mom who emailed: "My mother-in-law recently told us about Good News Clubs in her area (the high desert), so we decided to see if there was one in our area as well. We searched online and were excited to find one at the local school. We live right down the street from Bonsall Elementary. I see that the club meets on Thursdays from 1:40 to 2:40 pm. Would it be ok for me or my husband to bring our children to this club? We are working hard at training our children in the way that they should go....I know that they would really enjoy coming." We replied to let her know that of course her kids are welcome! Good News Clubs are open to all children, not just those who attend the schools where they are held. The mom asked to receive our email bulletin so her family can be praying for the ministry. PRAISE the Lord for answered prayer! Last week we requested prayer for our planned GNC at Pioneer School in Escondido. This week the principal approved the club and assigned us a room, and our leader at the Farr Ave GNC, Holly Williams, emailed to say she can volunteer for the team!

PRAISE God for our first meeting of the Bear Valley Middle School "Teen Good News Club" on Tuesday. After flyers were passed out on campus on Monday, two parents called to inquire about the club and indicated that their kids would be coming. Team member Judy Erickson writes: "Our GNC at Bear Valley was exciting! Three boys and four girls. But we invited many more kids to come next week." Please be in prayer that the Lord would use this good start with a few kids and multiply the outreach! Pray that those who came would invite friends and that word would spread. Pray that God would use this ministry and the power of His Word week by week at the club to make a real difference in the lives of the kids, their friends, and their families.

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for our new GNC starting this Tuesday, 2:30-3:30pm, at Hope School in Carlsbad (photo above). The team of six dedicated mothers from the school has been in prayer and preparation for months. Please pray that the Lord would bless with a good turnout of kids and a great opening day! Pray that all the kids who come would be receptive to the work of God in their lives as they hear from His Word. Pray that the team would serve together in the unity and power and joy of the Holy Spirit. Pray that Hope School will be a different place because of Good News Club!



PRAY for all our Good News Clubs as they work to adapt and adjust to the various physical surroundings they are assigned. Some meet in cramped classrooms, while others like the Rock Springs club above have the luxury of using the multi-purpose room with plenty of space for all 68 kids who were there on Friday. Some clubs have no time for setup, others have to deal with moving furniture around before and after the club. Some clubs are reassigned outside or to a different room on short notice because of the school's needs. Please pray for God's wisdom and for creative ideas for working with what He provides at each school for the maximum benefit to the ministry to the children.

PRAY that our hoped-for GNC at Discovery School in San Marcos will still be able to happen this season. A dad at the school has been working for several months to get a team together. Please pray that the Lord would work things out with his employment schedule and bring the committed volunteers so that the kids at Discovery can hear the Good News.
