PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE the Lord for all our faithful attendees at Good News Clubs and that so many of them are really growing in Him! On Friday, the last day of the season for our club at Pioneer School in Escondido, Wendy, a 2nd grader, brought a great big thank-you card for the volunteers that she made herself. On the back she wrote: "We believe in God and trust Him." To help the kids keep on learning over the summer, we took enrollments for the Mailbox Club correspondence lessons, and Rosie Gamboa, who's a volunteer at our Reidy Creek GNC as well as a substitute school teacher at Pioneer, came by with her daughter Rachel (photo below) to give each child a gospel bracelet and a New Testament from the Gideons.





PRAISE God for answered prayer! Last week we had a request from a teacher at Olive School in Vista who's hoping to enlist team members to start up a club in September. This week one of our volunteers from the Beaumont School GNC called to say she would like to help at Olive, too!

County Fair gospel outreach starts this Friday!






PRAISE God for every volunteer who's signed up so far! On Saturday we held an orientation class at the Vista Public Library (photo above) and welcomed a number of first-time fair volunteers from among our new Good News Club teams from this season. We'll be holding our final fair class this Tuesday -- please join us and find out more:

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for our Ada Harris School GNC in Cardiff (photo above). The dedicated team that has been teaching the club for several seasons is retiring, and a new volunteer from this season, Carrie Patch, will be leading the club in 2009-2010. Please pray as she and Melissa Smith seek the Lord's help and guidance in recruiting a full team. In faith, we have already submitted the application for next season -- please pray as we trust the Lord to keep the gospel light shining at this school.



PRAY as our final GNCs end for the season. Above, team leader Mike Haas used his cell phone camera to catch a spontaneous moment at the Discovery School GNC in San Marcos, which ended on Friday. Please pray for these kids and all the others who have been coming to GNCs across North County as they break for the summer. Pray that the Lord would help each believing child to stay close to Him, spend time with Him each day, and keep living out what they learned at club from His Word. Pray that God would bring them back next season, ready to receive new things from Him. Pray that He would help the kids who have not yet trusted in Christ to remember what they heard and to come to Jesus this summer!
