Praise & Prayer Bulletin 7.20.09

PRAISE REPORTS

PRAISE the Lord for a new volunteer joining the team for the Good News Club-in-progress at Richland School in San Marcos.

PRAISE God for recent emails from Texas and Florida from CEF workers who say they have discovered our website and are using resources from it in their local ministries.

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for the 5-Day Club scheduled for August 3-7 at the La Costa Paloma Apartments in Carlsbad (photo above). Team leader La Keisha Fairbee emails:

"We will pass out the invitations on this Tuesday 7/21/09 and have them returned on Friday 7/24/09. On Monday 8/3/09 we will begin a 5-day outreach ending on Friday 8/7/09. Our prayer is that we will be able to start a club that will run throughout the school year for the new/young believers this outreach will reap.  The club would meet 1-day a week for 1 hour in the evening.
Please cover us in prayer for the following areas:   

1. Volunteers.

2. Continued provision of supplies.

3. Protection for all parties and families involved.

4. Open hearts to receive the Good News and continued favor w/management. The complex is undergoing a switch in management this week and the residents are nervous. Please pray the Lord would soften the hearts of all towards this event.

5. That we would follow the Holy Spirit's leading all the way and everything He has planned will be accomplished.



PRAY for the upcoming season of Good News Clubs across North County. We praise the Lord for the record 40 school clubs last season! But each season means looking to Him anew to provide the leaders, team members, and resources to keep these clubs going and to see further progress in reaching new schools. Each season volunteers who can't continue need to be replaced so that established clubs can continue. Please begin beseeching the Lord to send out the laborers into the vast harvest field of our public schools. Pray that those involved in the ministry will help to spread the word. Pray that individual believers and churches would see the opportunity before them to reach their local schools for Christ.
