PRAISE REPORT



PRAISE the Lord for the kick-off event planned for August 29 on the La Jolla Indian Reservation in Pauma Valley to launch Good News Clubs for the tribes in our area! CEF missionary Susan Curo (photo below) leads this exciting outreach. Please be in prayer for a great turn-out at the event and that the Lord would use it to pave the way for a thriving GNC ministry to tribal kids and parents on the many reservations in SD County. Pray for the Lord's guidance for Susan as she seeks to recruit and train the needed volunteers to bring the love of God and the truth of salvation in Jesus to her people.

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for the 5 day club August 3-7 at La Costa Paloma Apartments in Carlsbad. La Keisha Fairbee (photo above), both a Good News Club and County Fair volunteer this season, will be leading the club. Please ask the Lord to bless La Keisha and the team as they present the Gospel each day through Bible stories that illustrate the truths of the Wordless Book colors. Pray that the Lord would draw many kids to attend the first day and that kids will bring friends throughout the week. Pray that He would show them their need of a Savior and lead them to trust in Jesus. Pray for unity on the team that God would bless and build them up as they minister to the kids day by day. Pray that kids who are believers will learn and grow in their faith. Pray also that through this club whole families will come to Christ.



PRAY for the needs of this upcoming season at our Good News Club at Felicita School in Escondido (photo above), which the Lord has been blessing for several years! Mary Schuhler, a leader on the team, sends these requests:

1) That the Lord would prepare the kids' hearts by creating an excitement about coming back to GNC and inviting friends.
 
2) That He would bring more 4th and 5th graders and show our team how to meet their needs better so they continue to come throughout the year.
 
3) For God's choice and supply of workers for the club.
 
4) For healing a Bible teacher's voice (Mary Schuhler's) if the Lord wants her to teach this year.
