Teachers Forum is coming Sep. 12 & 14

Are you interested in reaching kids for the Lord in our public schools? Above are some of the dedicated GNC team members who attended one of our classes in Carlsbad last season.

Whether you're already a Good News Club volunteer or just interested in learning about the ministry, we  urge you to save a spot on your calendar for the first session of the season of our free Teachers Forum class. We'll begin this season with "Beginnings", our Bible series for kids from the first part of the book of Genesis.

PRAISE REPORTS


PRAISE the Lord for a student from several years back who completed our Teaching Children Effectively course and who called this week to say that she is not working now and would like to get involved in Good News Clubs! Please pray that the Lord would guide her into the place He would have her serve. She lives near Central School in Escondido and has a concern for that school. We have been praying for years for a team of volunteers to reach this oldest school in the city where we had a club several seasons ago.



PRAISE God that GNC volunteers are spreading the word about the ministry! A mother at Carrillo School in the San Marcos district (photo above) heard about GNCs from a friend who serves on the team at the club at Olivenhain Pioneer School in Carlsbad which started last season. She would like to be involved in getting a club started at Carrillo. Please be in prayer as she organizes prayer for the club and works to recruit team members.

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for a mother at Jefferson School in Carlsbad (photo above) who learned about GNCs from her friend on the team at the Hope School club, also in Carlsbad, which started last season. This is another school we have been praying for for a number of years. Please ask for the Lord's help as she spreads the word and works to get a team together. Pray that the Lord would lead her to those who are seeking a place to serve Him, and to those who will faithfully uphold the club in prayer.

PRAY for our planned new GNC at Casita Center School in Vista. We submitted the application on August 7, but the school denied our request on the 10th, saying the school site was too busy after school. After appealing the denial to the district we received an email from the superintendent saying she would try to resolve the matter this Monday, the 17th. Please pray that the club would be approved speedily so that it can start as scheduled on Sep. 24.
