Teachers Forum this Saturday, Sep 12 & Monday, Sep 14



Kids need to know that, like Adam and Eve, we "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" and because of that we all need the Savior God promised to send.

We'll be learning how to help kids see their need at our first Teachers Forum sessions of the new Good News Club season on Sep 12 in Escondido and Sep 14 in Carlsbad (please click for full info: http://cefkids.com/TeachersForum).

Helping kids to understand and memorize Scripture verses is one way we do that, using take-home "tokens" like the one below that the kids can color and collect in an album.

PRAISE REPORTS

PRAISE the Lord that word is going out at Horizon Christian Fellowship in Rancho Santa Fe about our upcoming GNC informational meeting this Thursday, Sep 10. One of our GNC volunteers will be staffing a literature table this weekend and on Wednesday evening in the courtyard. Please pray that many will stop by to learn more, and that there'll be a good turnout on Thursday.

PRAISE God that one of our GNC volunteers informed an Escondido church about the opportunity to reach kids in the local schools and the pastor would like to show our DVD to the congregation. (To watch it on Google Video, click here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5443611924171412477)

PRAYER NEEDS


PRAY for the additional team members needed for our club at Glen View School in Escondido, shown above in a photo taken on the first day of last season's club, when 103 kids enrolled! We weren't able to have a club at this school for several years, and team leader Judy Erickson (above, left) has sensed a special call to help meet the needs of these children. Please ask the Lord to bring the helpers!



PRAY for the need of the GNC at Bernardo School in Escondido (above). Team leader Patty Uhland emails: "I just wanted to report to you that we are having difficulty coming up with the appropriate amount of workers for the GNC. If you know of some extra help, please let me know.  As of right now, I cannot give you a start date for the school. We are praying!" The club plans to meet on Wednesdays, 2:25-3:25pm, so if you or anyone you know may be interested in serving the Lord in this way, please reply or call 760-480-4191.
