TEACHERS FORUM: Meet Patriarchs of the Faith, Oct 17 & 19



When God made His great promise to Abraham, the Bible says, "And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness" (Gen. 15:6).

PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE God for the first meetings of 5 Good News clubs this week, including El Camino Creek School in Carlsbad on Friday (above). The kids participate in learning about the six days of God's creation, and from their memory verse on the whiteboard learn the only way we can grasp these great truths: "By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible" (Heb. 11:3).



PRAISE the Lord for all the kids who faithfully come to GNC week by week and for the volunteers who teach them. At the second meeting of the club at Glen View School in Escondido (above) the kids learn about Adam and Eve, how sin entered our world, and how God had a plan from the beginning to send a Savior. Team leader Judy Erickson writes,

"A number of the Glen View children are very challenging, but the words that come out of some of them are priceless. Often they bring up the points I'm about to make before I get a chance to, with comments or questions. The first week, one little girl said something like this about Jesus: 'He's not the kind of person who just cares about Himself. He's always thinking about others.' Then this second week, a little boy prayed, thanking God for letting us live today and sparing us from the results of our sins. Another boy said his uncle told him that God always keeps His promises -- a point well taken for that lesson.Thank God for all these precious little children. They are so different and yet so alike -- hungry for God. What a blessing to get to share Jesus' great love with them all. Let's keep praying He keeps the door open into the schools, and uses us to reach them and their whole families."

PRAISE God for the report from the Richland School GNC in San Marcos that on Sep. 25 fourteen boys and girls responded to the gospel invitation to trust in Christ.

PRAYER NEEDS

PRAY for volunteers who are working towards starting a Good News Club at a mobile home park in Fallbrook. Please ask the Lord to bring a complete team together and that approval will be granted to hold the club.

PRAY for helpers urgently needed for the team at the Knob Hill School GNC in San Marcos, which started this Thursday. Last season there was a total of 66 kids enrolled, but the team of volunteers is now down to 3. Please ask the Lord to provide.

Stone Ranch (Poway district) starts Wednesday, Oct 7, 12;40-1:40pm

Bernardo (Escondido) starts Wednesday, Oct 7, 2:25-3:25pm

Ocean Air (Del Mar) starts Friday, Oct 9, 2:30-3:30pm

Miller (Escondido) starts Friday, Oct 9, 2:35-3:35pm

Solana Highlands (Solana Beach) starts Friday, Oct 9, 2:45-3:45pm

Sage Canyon (Del Mar) starts Monday, Oct 12, 2:35-3:35pm

Please pray that the Spirit of Christ would lead each team of volunteers at these clubs. Pray that those teaching God's Word would have the time to prepare themselves through prayer and study. Pray that announcements of the clubs would reach the parents and that there would be a positive response! Pray that many kids who have never heard or understood the gospel will be there. Pray that God's Word, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners", will be fulfilled in many young lives at these Good News Clubs! Pray that Christian kids will come to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"
