PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE the Lord for a visit to North County on Tuesday by Bill and Debi Gerhardt (above), State Director and Asst. State Director of CEF of Southern California. They were here to meet with our chapter as well as the Greater San Diego one. Bill and Debi head up the state office in Reseda (LA) which oversees the ministry of all 30 local chapters. Please pray for them as they seek to encourage, strengthen, and expand the work to reach more kids for the Lord.



PRAISE God for good news from Ramona! On Friday we applied for a brand new GNC at Ramona Community School (above) and 37 minutes later the principal emailed back, "Thank you for the email, and thank you for getting approval for use of facilities through [the district]. I’ve already heard from the teacher, so you should be good to go!" This set a new speed record for approvals! The club is scheduled to start Feb 3 -- please pray for the team of volunteers. Also please pray that our other application submitted on Friday for a club at Barnett School in Ramona will be approved quickly when school resumes in January. This club is scheduled to start Feb 2.



PRAISE the Lord for a good report from our long-running club at Oak Hill School in Escondido (above) which started up again in December. Team member Judie Greiner emails, "We're off to a great start at Oak Hill with a great bunch of kids! -- new enrollments for December -- 47." Leader Cricket Carlson adds, "The kids are all asking for permission slips to join and for their friends."



PRAISE God for steady growth at the all-5th-and-6th-grade Good News Club at Solana Pacific School in the Solana Beach district (above) which started Nov 18. Pastor Michael Williams writes, "First week we had 4 kids. Second week we had 5 kids. Third week we had 9 kids. Last week we had 15 kids!" Praise God also that at this rather unwelcoming school the head of the after-school classes quickly gave her approval for the club to continue meeting in one of her rooms in the new year. Pray that word continues to spread at this school which does not distribute any paper flyers to students.



PRAISE the Lord for His blessings at the Sage Canyon School GNC in the Del Mar District (above). Leader Jukay Lu emails: "Praise the Lord for a wonderful time at our GNC with record attendance on Monday, Dec. 14th!

"We were very blessed to have our very own PE teacher, Mr. Tracy, to play some really cool outdoor games (photo above), followed by a skit and the Gospel message (photo below). We concluded our club time with a happy birthday song to Jesus and shared a beautiful cake together! We will get together and bring our lovely voices to sing a few Christmas carols in a nearby convalescent home next Tuesday."

Please pray that God will help this club to keep growing in numbers and in its influence in kids' lives!

PRAYER NEED

PRAY for our GNC at Ada Harris School in Cardiff. On Monday volunteer Melissa Smith sent a request for prayer and new ideas: "Our club needs some help and prayers! Seems like we are not growing and the kids are always super restless. Can you give me some ideas of how your club time is organized and how you actually keep the kids' attention? Also, some ideas on games would be awesome. We need to spice it up a little bit. This week we will have a Christmas party, but maybe after the New Year with some of the ideas and faithful prayer we can get things going in the right direction."
