TEACHERS FORUM: January 16 & 18



Every day kids face temptation to do wrong. We can help them overcome by teaching that Jesus was tempted, too, but that He defeated the devil through the power of God's Word, and that He'll help them do the same!: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). At our upcoming Teachers Forum we'll be looking into the lesson series "Life of Christ, part 1" and learning how to lead kids to Jesus and help them follow in His ways.

PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE the Lord that Good News Clubs are coming to the La Jolla (photo above) and Rincon Indian reservations this month! After years of prayer and hard work, clubs will be starting Jan. 12 and 14 under the leadership of Susan Curo. Please watch for details and specific prayer requests in next week's bulletin.



PRAISE God for His work in the lives of kids! Judy Erickson, our leader at the Glen View School GNC in Escondido writes: "A little girl interceded powerfully for me in the sweetest way before our Christmas party club. The room was abominably hot and the hostess teacher had warned us that she was not able to turn it off. I felt very weak and helpless and knew I was not going to do well in that heat. As I guzzled my little bottle of water, this sweet little girl said, 'You look tired. I know how you feel. Do you want me to pray for you?' She put her little hands on my shoulders and interceded out loud. It was a precious moment and God answered as I regained my strength instantly and was able to do the club without any more symptoms."

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY as announcements, both paper and electronic, go out for Good News Clubs starting this month at schools across North County, including Rock Springs School in Escondido, Capri School in Encinitas, and Mission Meadows School in the Vista district. as well as those at the La Jolla and Rincon reservations mentioned above. Also, many established clubs will be sending out flyers after the long break to remind kids to come back. Please pray that parents will see the announcements and respond positively. Pray that lots and lots of new and returning kids will come to GNCs to learn about Jesus!
