PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE God for bringing another Good News Club to North County kids! On Friday we received word that we've been approved at Nichols School in Oceanside (above). A team of six volunteers led by a mom at the school, all of whom are new to GNC™, are getting set to start, hopefully by the end of the month. Please be in prayer as they take on a new work in the name of Jesus to bring His love and truth to the children of our area.



PRAISE the Lord for our time of mutual encouragement, exchange, and equipping at our Teachers Forum on Saturday in Escondido. Above, during a break volunteers head to the materials table to make their selections of what's available to help children at their GNCs grow in their faith, including 60-day "Wonder Devotional Books" that get kids started on a daily habit of spending time with the Lord in the Bible and prayer (click to learn more about them: http://cefkids.com/wdb) Our final Teachers Forum session of the season takes place Monday at 9am in Carlsbad (click for details: http://cefkids.com/TeachersForum)



PRAISE the Lord for what's happening in Oceanside at GNC in the month of March at Mission Meadows! The kids just keep coming and it's clear they're happy to be part of it all (above). With a fun game of "Stop & Go" (below) team member Debbie Christian helps the kids learn a Scripture about how the Lord wants us to live: "And without faith it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews 11:6). At bottom, it's the heart of each week's club -- the time to hear from God as Jeanelle Higgins brings the Bible lesson.

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY about the denial we received for our application for a club at Ramona Elementary School. The superintendent explained that because of a unique situation at this school involving a state grant for a special after-school program, all outside groups have been denied use of the facilities during that time period. He said he values GNCs and suggested we apply at one of the other Ramona Schools. We praise God for the growth of the ministry this season in Ramona (green squares on the district map above) -- brand new clubs at two schools plus our long-running one at James Dukes! Please pray that the team of volunteers led by Terri Nagem which planned to reach Ramona Elementary will be able to switch to either Hanson or Mount Woodson. Please ask for God's guidance and provision and that our fourth club could get underway soon.



PRAY also about our GNC planned for Lake School in Oceanside (Vista district). As you may remember, the school initially denied our application, saying no rooms were available, but the district got involved, and we have now been waiting over a week to hear if any teacher will volunteer use of her/his classroom. Please pray that the Lord will overcome this obstacle so that the team of volunteers which is ready and waiting can begin reaching the kids!



PRAY that the Lord will bring a few additional committed servants to join the team for our GNC planned for Del Sur School in the Poway district (above). A leader and a grandmother from the school are ready to go. Pray also that we can find a teacher whose room we can meet in, so that we can submit the application very soon and see this club up and running this school year.
