PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE the Lord for His answers to prayer! The team of volunteers who'd hoped to start a club at Ramona Elementary (where we were denied approval due to a unique after-school program) chose Hanson Elementary in Ramona (above) as an alternative. On Tuesday we applied, and in under three hours the principal sent back her approval: "The flyer that you attached looks great and I will be happy to distribute it as soon as we receive copies. Thank you for thinking of Hanson as a place for your club." Team leader Terri Nagem emailed her response to the news: "Wow! That was fast -- I'll call the volunteers and let them know what is happening. Praise God from whom all blessings flow." Please be in prayer for this new club, our fourth in Ramona this season, which plans to start April 19.



PRAISE the Lord that on Friday we finally won approval for our new Good News Club at Lake School in Oceanside (Vista district)! One teacher at the school responded to the principal's request and graciously volunteered use of her room. The club is now scheduled to start after spring break on April 21.



PRAISE God for fun and games at Good News Club as well as time for prayer and singing His praises. At Central School in Escondido things got underway on Tuesday with a frantic "Battle of the Bubbles" where pairs of kids tried to be first to hit the other -- and it all came off without injury! Girls and boys have been volunteering to come up front and lead the group in some very sweet and sincere opening prayers, and this week our first song, "Do You Believe?" (below), was a new one at the club, with words unrolling and u-n-r-o-l-l-i-n-g on a 10 foot scroll! (Hear a short clip of the song: http://cefkids.com/Track%2001.mp3. PRAISE the Lord that on Friday the principal at Pioneer School in Escondido emailed her approval the same day we applied for a Good News Club! Please be in prayer that we will be assigned a nice large room (preferably a vacant one not in use as a classroom) for the club, which is scheduled to start April 27.

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for the upcoming annual CEF outreach at the San Diego County Fair, starting June 11. Please ask for the Lord's guidance and provision as plans come together for our chapter, in partnership with our sister chapter, CEF of Greater San Diego, to reach thousands of kids and parents with the gospel. Pray for the needed 176 volunteers to staff the booth during the 22 days of the fair. Please pray that this year people will sign up early and that we'll see greater participation by church youth groups.



PRAY that the Lord would call North County Christian young people as CEF summer missionaries to reach kids in our area through neighborhood 5-Day Clubs. The "Christian Youth in Action" week-long training program for southern California begins June 19 in Riverside. To learn more: http://cefkids.com/cyia
