PRAISE REPORTS



PRAISE the Lord for a great first season for the Good News Club at Solana Pacific, a school where all the students are 5th and 6th graders. On Wednesday the club held its end of the year party (above). Pastor Michael Williams (back row at right), who leads the group, emailed to say that he would like to start another club in the coming school year at nearby Carmel Del Mar School, where the principal is on board and there are already parents interested in volunteering. Please pray that the Lord would bring this new club about!



PRAISE God for the thankful hearts of kids! On Thursday, our last day of GNC for the season at Lincoln School in Escondido, two 5th grade friends who have been attending faithfully (above) surprised and touched the volunteer team with personalized thank-yous...



...a handwritten note and a pack of spring seeds!

PRAISE the Lord for another encouraging GNC report from our club at Reidy Creek School in Escondido which has been running weekly this season since Sept. 23 (above). It wrapped up this Wednesday, and team member Nancee Hanson sent a note: "Had our end of the year party today as we finished up the "Life of Christ". Our kids are able to remember the stories, and we leaders are often amazed at their insights and connections as we learned about Jesus’ life. They ask really good questions during our decision time. Many of the kids wanted to know why we couldn’t just keep going every Wednesday! More and more are memorizing the verses each week. Our team is so grateful for Stephanie Glanz and Walt Brame, both teachers at Reidy Creek, who do the lesson and memory verse each week. We recognized and said good-bye to our 5th graders and are looking forward to the fall when we will start up again. A good and restful summer to all!"

PRAYER NEEDS



PRAY for volunteers for our evening shifts at the SD County Fair outreach, which are always the hardest to staff. This year has been especially difficult. Many of our older volunteers understandably don't like driving at night, so please pray that the Lord will call lots of young night owls to serve! PRAY that lots of people will turn out for our upcoming fair orientation classes on June 5 & 8 in Carlsbad and Escondido, and that they'll be a time of fellowship as well as preparation.
