PRAISE
REPORT
PRAISE the Lord that this week Tami Weatherton called to say
there are now 6 mothers committed to starting a brand new Good
News Club at La Costa Heights School in Carlsbad
(Encinitas district)! Tami along with Heather Heggie will be
co-leading. Please pray as the team works on finding a suitable
room for the club so we can submit the application. Pray as the
volunteers begin planning and organizing to reach this school of
600 students, and for the Lord's direction each step of the way.
PRAYER
NEEDS
PRAY for our slowly growing "Teen GNC" outreach to
North County middle schools. This is a challenging ministry to a
hard-to-reach age group. Pray that those committed to serving
middle-schoolers will be encouraged to press on, and that the
Lord will give them creative ideas for connecting with the kids.
Pray for three volunteers interested in starting a club at a
school which has never had one, Hidden Valley in Escondido
(above). Ask the Lord to guide this group as they move forward,
and to bring others to join them.
PRAY as we gear up for our first Teachers Forum sessions of
the new season to help equip Good News Club volunteers for their
ministry ahead. Watch for the schedule to be announced here next
week. Please pray that many, many of our veteran and new
volunteers will be able to make the time to meet together for
learning, growth, and fellowship.
