20: Teachers Forum
When Moses was faithful to
deliver God's message of "Let My people go" to Pharaoh,
the king responded by oppressing the people even more! Moses
sought an answer from God: "Why is it You have sent me? For
since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil
to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at
all." (Ex. 5:22, 23)
Just like Moses, kids today need to learn to keep trusting God
even when they don't understand. That's one of the important
truths from the Bible that we'll be getting ready to bring to the
kids at our free Teachers Forum sessions coming up in September.

REPORTS
PRAISE the Lord for a message this week from John Guerrieri,
a counselor on staff at Hidden Valley Middle School in
Escondido (above) about progress toward a "Teen Good News
Club": "God is putting together a team at our school,
hopefully to start a CEF club this year. Just need to hear how we
get started, and all that is needed to be done. Have talked with
Steve Bruecker who runs the same club at Mission Middle School,
and he gave a lot of good ideas as to how it works over
there." Please be in prayer as this team begins taking
things step by step and that the Lord will provide everything
needed so that this club can indeed get underway very soon!
PRAISE God for two moms at Solana Highlands School
(above) who are interested in joining the Good News Club team.
Things are shaping up so that we can submit the application for
the new season soon. Please pray that kids who were there last
season will return and that LOTS of new kids will come to hear
the Good News,
PRAISE the Lord that TEN mothers from La Costa Heights
School in the Encinitas district are now interested in being
on the team for this brand new club, and that the leader has
found out about a vacant classroom as a possible site for the
club.
PRAYER
NEEDS
PRAY that an announcement in the Sunday bulletin of a Ramona
church concerning the need for team members for our GNC at Ramona
Community School (above) will bring a response! The club
began last season, but can't continue until a leader steps
forward. Please pray that the Lord will provide.
PRAY for a request sent in by Tamara Reed, leader of our
long-running Good News Club at Mission Estancia School in
the Encinitas district (above). The club can't start until more
volunteers join the team, which is down to two! Please ask the
Lord to help them get the word out to other Christian parents
about the opportunity to serve the Lord right at their kids'
school. Pray that many will answer the call.
